Working with Chippy

Ask about your workshop and review the results of AI-assisted actions.

Chippy is MakeFlow’s studio assistant. Open it from the squirrel button in your workspace to ask about saved materials, products, customers or orders, or get help changing a record.

Start with a specific task

Try a question such as “Which orders need attention?”, “How many canvas bags can I make with the materials available?” or “Show the orders for Everyday Market.” Include the product, customer or order reference when you know it.

For a change, state the result you want: “Create a customer called Rowan Goods” or “Start order 0242.” If several records could match, clarify which one before continuing.

Check the result

Chippy uses tools to read and update the workspace. Read the tool’s result and open the saved record when checking an important change. A reply in the conversation is not proof that an action succeeded. Failed or uncertain results need review before you repeat an operation that might already have been saved.

Production actions still follow the studio’s material and order rules. Starting an order reserves its required materials; completion and cancellation have their own effects. You can use the ordinary app controls whenever you prefer.

Suggestions you review

Receipt and material analysis offers proposals. Check the purchase date, currency, package quantity and matching material before saving an expense or confirming stock. Setup suggestions do not replace choosing your own studio settings.

AI can misunderstand a request or work from incomplete information. Keep custom specifications and agreed prices in the actual order rather than relying on conversation memory alone.

Usage and availability

AI tools have separate plan allowances, with an activity ledger under Subscription & AI Usage. Read Understanding AI activity and allowances for request outcomes and missing cost estimates.

Voice and the companion app have separate availability and device-validation requirements. The public landing’s example conversations are demonstrations with fictional records, not a live chat with your studio.
