Understanding your money overview
Keep booked orders, recorded payments and purchase costs separate.
Open Money to review your studio’s saved activity for a date range. Totals stay separate for each currency.
Booked and completed work
Booked work comes from saved order prices. Cancelled order value is excluded where the report specifies. Completed work shows the value of finished orders. Neither number means that the customer has paid.
A product’s current catalog price can change without rewriting the agreed price on an existing order. Check the saved item prices when reviewing that order.
Payments and refunds
Open an order’s Payments tab to record a payment you received or a refund you made. These entries track activity that happened outside MakeFlow; they do not charge a card or send a refund through a payment provider.
Net recorded receipts subtract recorded refunds from payments. Keep the original currency with the entry. MakeFlow does not combine different currencies into an invented converted total.
Purchase costs
Save an expense with its date, amount, category and currency. A receipt can help fill in those details, but review them before saving. Adding purchased materials to inventory is a separate confirmation.
The overview is a record of your workshop activity. Booked value minus expenses is not a complete accounting-profit calculation: it does not establish cash collection, tax treatment or every cost of the business.
